AT&T SportsNet Southwest is where Houstonians can watch the Astros or the Rockets when the games aren’t nationally televised. But that regional sports network isn’t widely available. In fact, fuboTV is the only streaming service that lets you watch AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

Before we start, we want to highlight a particularly relevant stream in these uncertain times. Sling TV is one of the best options for streaming in 2020 with a rich catalogue of 50+ live channels and 50k+ on-demand movies and episodes.

When fuboTV got its start, the streaming service only wanted to focus on soccer. But as it added more channels, it ended up carrying a great collection of basic cable channels. Now, fuboTV is the perfect cable replacement for sports-loving families. And even though its support for regional cable channels isn’t great, subscribers in Houston and surrounding markets will get AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

fuboTV Pricing and Packages

From the perspective of regional sports networks, it doesn’t matter which of the subscription plans you get. The Family plan delivers an upgraded feature set over the Standard plan. The Ultra plan gives you the complete fuboTV channel lineup with even more sports channels.

fuboTV Channels

Ever since it made the move to becoming a full-service streaming service, the biggest complaint against fuboTV was the ESPN-shaped hole in its channel lineup. Fortunately, a deal with Disney finally fills that hole. Starting sometime in August 2020, the sports network will be part of fuboTV’s lineup in all subscription plans. ESPN joins the most comprehensive selection of sports-centric channels.

The rest of the basic cable channel lineup delivers all of the popular content people expect from a cable-replacement service. FX and the Disney Channel will join channels like AMC, HGTV, Travel and Hallmark.

fuboTV Local Channels & Regional Sports Networks

In most of the country, fuboTV does not carry regional sports networks except for those from NBC Sports. In Houston and the rest of southeast Texas, however, fuboTV does carry AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

FuboTV’s support for local TV stations is better, but not perfect. Most people will be able to watch their local NBC station. Roughly half of the country will be able to get their local Fox and/or CBS stations. When the Disney deal goes into effect, fuboTV will be able to stream local ABC stations. Unfortunately, the service has to sign contracts with individual station-owners. Until it does, only the ABC-owned stations in a dozen major markets will be available to stream.

fuboTV Supported Devices

You can find the fuboTV streaming app in the app stores of most major streaming platforms.

  • Living room devices: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku.
  • Smart TVs and Blu-ray players: Samsung televisions as well as devices based on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Roku.
  • Mobile devices and tablets: Android and iOS.
  • Game consoles: Xbox One.
  • Desktop browsers: Chrome, Explorer, Safari.

fuboTV Simultaneous Streams

One of the reasons for upgrading to the Family or Ultra plans is to let more people stream fuboTV at the same time. The Standard plan’s limit is only two devices. The premium plans let you use three devices simultaneously.

fuboTV DVR

Another benefit of going with the higher-priced plans is the improved cloud DVR. The higher-priced subscriptions include a 500-hour recording capacity. The Standard plan only lets you record thirty hours of content.

fuboTV On-Demand Library

Every streaming service receives on-demand versions of recently-aired episodes from the national TV channels. Fubo also has its own sports-centric TV channel that broadcasts original news shows as well as sports-themed movies.
