fubotv fxx without cable

Sports-oriented streaming service fuboTV is the only streaming service that carries live 4K channels. The channel lineup is quite good, as well. If you live near Houston, you can stream Houston’s local CBS affiliate KHOU. Other channels you’ll get include FOX, NBC, NFL Network and NFL RedZone. fuboTV still hasn’t managed to sign a deal to carry ESPN, but that’s not too big of a downside for Houston Texans fans because the Texans won’t appear on Monday Night Football again for the rest of the 2019 season.

fuboTV Pricing and Packages

The $55/month fubo Standard package comes with around 90 channels, including NFL Network. Various add-on packs let you get even more channels. You have to get the $11/month Sports Extra add-on if you want NFL RedZone.

fuboTV Channels

Since around half of the channels you get with fubo Standard are sports channels, fuboTV is one of the best streaming services for sports junkies. You’ll get even more sports if you get the Sports Extra add-on, which comes with NFL RedZone and around 20 other sports channels. The absence of ESPN is the main downside of fuboTV’s channel menu. On the other hand, there are several niche sports channels that other streaming services don’t carry in the lineup.

fuboTV Supported Devices

fuboTV has above average device support:

  • TV streaming media players: Apple TV (4th gen and up), Amazon Fire TV and TV Stick (1st gen and up), Chromecast and Roku (2, 3 and 4)
  • Smart TVs: Android TV (4.4 and up)

fuboTV DVR

fuboTV’s default 30-hour recording limit should suffice if you only want to record Houston Texans games every week. If you need more recording time, you can upgrade to 500 hours for an extra $10/month.

Sling TV fxx without cable

Sling TV has cheaper plans than most other streaming services and it carries all but two of the channels you need to watch every Houston Texans regular game without cable. The only missing channels are the local broadcast stations. You can’t get KHOU (CBS) or KPRC (NBC) through Sling TV. However, you may not need these if you use your TV antenna to tune in.

Sling TV Pricing and Packages

Sling TV’s subscription options are a bit different compared to its competitors. There are two main base plans to choose from and they both cost $25, unless you get them both for $40. After you get at least one base plan, you can pick from a wide array of channel add-on packs. To get NFL RedZone, you’ll need the Sports Extra add-on, which comes with around 10 or 15 channels and costs $10/month.
